Kalki Koechlin’s tip to scriptwriters

0

The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara feels that most writers try to please everyone

Scriptwriters in Bollywood are usually the  unsung, unheard lot but things are gradually changing. The writers are getting more prominence and one of the filmmakers responsible for this change is Anurag Kashyap, who has been backing projects with strong scripts even if that means signing on the smaller stars. It seems that his wife, Kalki Koechlin, who used to be a playwright before Dev D happened, has also picked up some lessons.
In a recent interview, Kalki said, “A lot of people are still very confused when they write a script. They put a very serious and a light subject together. They put everything into one film to please everyone.” It is great that Kalki understands her craft and we would like her to keep up the ‘hatke’ work that she has been doing.
