The Mausam star has been approached to play the Kolaveri di singer-actor’s love interest in his first Bollywood film
Rumour has it that Tanu Weds Manu fame director Anand L Rai feels Sonam Kapoor is the perfect choice for the leading lady in his next film, Raanjhana. The role offered to Sonam is vital to the plot as she plays a hand in altering the protagonist’s character in the romantic tale. For those who don’t know, Raanjhana is the south star and Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush’s first Bollywood film. According to sources, B-town’s fashion diva who is better off at making style statements than exhibiting her acting chops has not yet given her nod for the film. It seems that Sonam has already allotted dates for a couple of other films. We wonder who these filmmakers are; coz the last time we checked, Sonam had only one film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.Anyway, the Mausam star is trying to juggle her dates to accommodate Raanjhana. The rate at which Sonam’s films are failing at the box office (Aisha, Thank you, Mausam and Players), we think the actor should grab this opportunity with both her hands. After all, it’s a film opposite the current sensation, Dhanush.
