Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag based on the life of world famous athlete Milkha Singh is all set to go on floors today. Announced with much fanfare, Prasoon Joshi and Rakeysh Mehra have been working on the script for almost a year. The film stars Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles.
Rakyesh Mehra and his team have been searching for a perfect location to start shooting and after visiting almost all towns of Punjab they have shortlisted Firozpur to commence their first schedule from today.
Firozpur has the perfect topography and colours that the art direction team was looking for. Its culture and historical background adds to the authenticity of the film. Milkha Singh too is very excited that Farhan Akhtar would play the title role and that the film is being shot in Punjab.
