‘Will You Marry Me?’ seeks inspiration from ‘How I Met Your Mother’

The romcom might have original one-liners, but the poster? Well, that’s a different story…
At first look, the bathroom poster of Will You Marry Me? appears to be slick and stylish. But the moment of awe lasts only till you chance upon a similar-looking poster of How I Met Your Mother. Ahem, ahem. Looks like here’s another Bollywood poster that’s been copied from…oops… inspired by something foreign. But hold your guns, this time the source is new! While we’ve heard of, read, discussed and criticised a lot of posters that have been ‘inspired’ from Hollywood movies, the filmmakers of Will You Marry Me? have stumbled across a brand new source of inspiration – sitcoms. Yawn….seriously?Shahrukh Khan & Katrina Kaif: New pics from Yash Chopra’s latest love story!

Here’s a few more stills from Yash Chopra’s much talked about film with Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif
Last week we brought to you the first look of Yash Chopra’s film starring Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. We have a few more glimpses from one of the most-anticipated romantic tales, which reunites the filmmaker who makes the best romantic tales with the actor who does the best job of a lover. We bet all eyes are eagerly awaiting this one to see if Yash Chopra and SRK’s combination can still create the same magic they did in Veer-Zaara. Also, while SRK and Katrina definitely make a pretty picture together, we don’t see any crackling chemistry between the two gorgeous actors. Besides, don’t they remind us of characters from their respective past films? SRK looks like an older version of Raj from his first big blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Kat bears close resemblance to her avatar from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, especially in the short dress and guitar in hand. What do you think?Vidya Balan goes topless… once again!

The Dirty Picture actor shows off her bare back for a men’s magazine just ahead of her next release, Kahaani
Vidya Balan sure knows how to time it right. Just when her fake baby bump was creating buzz for her soon-to-be released film Kahaani, the 34-year-old actor decided to drop a sensational bomb yet again. She has posed backless for the cover of a men’s magazine. Her skin show sure grabs immediate attention but we wonder if it will hold it for long.Sonam Kapoor may romance south star Dhanush

The Mausam star has been approached to play the Kolaveri di singer-actor’s love interest in his first Bollywood film
Rumour has it that Tanu Weds Manu fame director Anand L Rai feels Sonam Kapoor is the perfect choice for the leading lady in his next film, Raanjhana. The role offered to Sonam is vital to the plot as she plays a hand in altering the protagonist’s character in the romantic tale. For those who don’t know, Raanjhana is the south star and Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush’s first Bollywood film. According to sources, B-town’s fashion diva who is better off at making style statements than exhibiting her acting chops has not yet given her nod for the film. It seems that Sonam has already allotted dates for a couple of other films. We wonder who these filmmakers are; coz the last time we checked, Sonam had only one film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.Robbery at Divya Dutta's house

Salman challenged by three franchise movies?
Bollywood News 0
by:Prayag Verma
If all goes as per plan, Bollywood would pretty much be creating a record of maximum number of sequels/franchises/prequels releasing this winter. At last count, as many as four such films are slated for release in the last five weeks of the year. With more films already in production, this number may well go up. The man seeing all such competition building around himself? Salman Khan.
"First sequel to be announced for winter release was of course Salman Khan's Dabangg 2, shooting of which is starting this month. However, slowly but steadily, many other films have stepped in the fray as well. These are Race 2, Aashiqui 2 and the newest entrant Shootout At Wadala. There are going to be a lot of 'familiar' films that audience would be exposed to this winter", says an industry insider.

Sujoy Ghosh's film Kahaani starring Vidya Balan has been the talking subject for the past few weeks. Though the film has garnered great publicity over last few days, we have learnt that the film has apparently run into trouble with the Kolkata Metro board recently.
The story so far is that the film has a scene where the main protagonist Vidya Bagchi is pushed in front of a speeding train; the Metro board found this scene objectionable owing to the number of suicide cases already registered and the impact it may cause.

Akshay Kumar to take martial arts to schools

The next time when your kids refrain from going to school, all you need to remember is the keyword 'Akshay Kumar'. No, Akshay has not got into teaching, but he has aggressively started approaching schools in Mumbai and other metros to incorporate martial arts in curriculum. So aggressive is he about this 'mission', that he has even declared that he wants every child to have access to schools and private classes teaching martial arts and until that happens; he won't call it a day.
Readers maybe aware that last year, he was busy with his incessant efforts of talking with many government bodies of various states to include karate, judo, kung fu and other such fighting styles in school and college curriculum. This resulted in Gujarat's Chief Minister Narendra Modi agreeing to make martial arts a mandatory subject in state's schools.

Vikram happy to support Vivek's Hate Story
Bollywood News 0

Vikram Bhatt had given her a break (and a hit film) in the form of Haunted. Still there was no favouritism at play when Tia Bajpai's Lanka released last year. Vikram decided to stay away from it despite it being his own production since it didn't meet his expectations. However, now that his next film Hate Story is igniting some good heat, Vikram is backing the film to the hilt.
"It is clearly that Vikram is letting his head do all the talking instead of heart. Tia is his find and he is obviously protective about her. However, he doesn't intend to support a film just for that reason.

It's final. The Dirty Picture jodi of Vidya Balan and Tusshar Kapoor would be clashing with each other next weekend. With Kahaani and Chaar Din Ki Chandni's arrival on the same day becoming inevitable, the next obvious question was whether both films will aim at arriving a day earlier on Thursday and take advantage of the festive occasion of 'Holi'. As has turned out though, only Chaar Din Ki Chandni is doing that while Kahaani makers are sure that it would be a regular Friday release for them.
"Yes, there were always talks to bring Chaar Din Ki Chandni a day earlier. This way it would be able to benefit from a 'chaar din ka' long weekend since in almost all parts of the country, Thursday is a holiday and people are expected to stay home on Friday as well", comments a source attached to the film.

The Players actor will not act in Neeraj Pandey’s Special Chabbis. Akshay Kumar pairs with Kajal Aggarwal in it
Mastermind. That’s what it boiled down to in the case of A Wednesday director Neeraj Pandey. It’s been four long years since A Wednesday and Pandey was about to find the perfect cast for his next directorial venture Special Chabbis. The subject matter is pretty interesting, being based on a jewellery shop robbery that happened in Mumbai in 1987, where a man posing as a CBI officer masterminded a bold, audacious and stunning heist in broad daylight. Initially, Abhishek Bachchan was pencilled in to play the mastermind, but then Pandey must have looked at some of his career choices like Players, Game and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and changed his mind. It doesn’t take a mastermind to figure out that currently Bachchan junior is box office poison. However, the chosen replacement also beggars belief. Akshay Kumar may have tasted marginally better success as an actor but he is on the wane as well. Indeed, rumours are rife that he is going to hang up his acting boots for good and concentrate on producing. Given the failure of Speedy Singhs, Cineswami isn’t sure if that’s a good move. The rest of the cast includes Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Manoj Bajpayee and Jimmy Shergill. Kumar Mangat and Viacom18 are producing.Madhuri Dixit: On me who has put this green colour?

Madhuri’s back in India to judge another season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. We revisit her most popular songs in the language of the country she resided in for the past ten years – America
Madhuri Dixit was one of the top heroines of Bollywood when she married US-based doctor Sriram Nene and immigrated abroad. Mads has often said that her husband had no idea of her popularity or her films when he married her and it took a while for her to make him watch her work. He fell in love with Madhuri the person, and not Madhuri the actor. While that just makes us go all mushy, we thought: why not make it easier for Mads to explain to her husband what Bollywood is all about. Now that he too has returned to India, he should be more clued in, right? We are sure Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, like its previous season, will pay some kind of tribute to Madhuri. We’ve brought a few of her famous songs translated in English – a perfect combo of the two countries she calls home.Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh to finally get married!

The campaign will kickstart with the launch of the new CID anthem. Having heard the anthem we must say, it has been superbly composed and gives a good feel of the show and what is being conveyed. From March 16, 2012, Sony will air the Veerta series – episodes dedicated to the common man’s acts of bravery. Then there is the CID Veerta Awards (formerly known as the CID Gallantry Awards) that will award courageous individuals in two categories: Physical bravery (when you save someone’s life) and Social bravery (when you battle social evils).Thursday, 1 March 2012

The unit of Venus Films' Tezz was in for a shock yesterday when some members from political group Shiv Sena stormed into the sets at Filmistan studios disrupting the shoot for a while.
