Fardeen Khan, who was once in the news for wrong reasons, suffered yet another setback in his life. His half-sister was one of the two people killed in a car collision in South Delhi early Monday.

Khan's half sister Sonia Sethia, who was the wife of businessman Rajendra Sethia, was returning home in New Friends Colony from dinner at a friend's place in Gulmohar Park, when a car coming at very high speed, rammed into their vehicle on August Kranti Marg.

Nikhil Dwivedi to undergo surgery

Nikhil Dwivedi who is currently busy with the shoot for his film Hate Story and Tamanchey was recently injured while performing an action sequence. Though his arm has been in a cast for some time now, the actor's bone structure hasn't yet healed, due to which Nikhil will soon be undergoing surgery to rectify the same.

Speaking to Nikhil, Bollywood News22 learns, "Yes I had hurt the bone that connects the upper arm and wrist right to the base of the palm, though it has been in a cast, the bone is not healing.

After having the whole of Bollywood going 'Ooh La La' over her curvaceous gyrations, Vidya Balan has now managed to add one more feather to her cap of achievements. She has now been roped in as the brand ambassador of Victoria's Indian Film Festival to be held in Melbourne this year.

Talking about this honour, Vidya said that she is delighted to be named as the brand ambassador of the said festival and that she loves the format of the festival and the wide range of films screened there. She also added that the festival not only showcases the best of Indian cinema, but also provides a platform for young, upcoming filmmakers through its short film competition.

Sonu Sood to play Dawood in Shootout At Wadala

Sanjay Gupta's Shootout At Wadala seems to be getting bigger by the day. The film which already stars heavyweights like Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee now has yet another addition to its cast. Sonu Sood, who impressed one and all with his act in Dabangg, has been signed to play the character of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim in the film.

Confirming the news, Sonu said, "I am extremely thrilled to be a part of this prestigious project. Sanjay Gupta is one of the best technicians we have in the industry. He presents his actors like no one else. On the other hand, Ekta Kapoor is one of the most prolific producers. She leaves no stone unturned for her films. It's an iconic role for me."

Hridayanath Mangeshkar gets his first doctorate

While the Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar and her illustrious sister Asha Bhosle have been awarded the doctorate many times over, their talented composer-brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar received his first doctorate from the Lokmanya Tilak University in Pune this week.

Speaking from Pune the soft spoken Hridaynath Mangeshkar said, "Lata Didi is a Doctor. She's also the Bharat Ratna of India. Asha Didi is also a doctor and Padma Vibhushan winner. I am also a Padma Shri. Now it's my turn. Three honorary doctorates in one family where none of has had the privilege of higher education is indeed a singular honour. More than for myself, I'm proud to be bringing this honour into my family."
