Sanjay Gupta's Shootout At Wadala seems to be getting bigger by the day. The film which already stars heavyweights like Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee now has yet another addition to its cast. Sonu Sood, who impressed one and all with his act in Dabangg, has been signed to play the character of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim in the film.

Confirming the news, Sonu said, "I am extremely thrilled to be a part of this prestigious project. Sanjay Gupta is one of the best technicians we have in the industry. He presents his actors like no one else. On the other hand, Ekta Kapoor is one of the most prolific producers. She leaves no stone unturned for her films. It's an iconic role for me."

While the Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar and her illustrious sister Asha Bhosle have been awarded the doctorate many times over, their talented composer-brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar received his first doctorate from the Lokmanya Tilak University in Pune this week.

Speaking from Pune the soft spoken Hridaynath Mangeshkar said, "Lata Didi is a Doctor. She's also the Bharat Ratna of India. Asha Didi is also a doctor and Padma Vibhushan winner. I am also a Padma Shri. Now it's my turn. Three honorary doctorates in one family where none of has had the privilege of higher education is indeed a singular honour. More than for myself, I'm proud to be bringing this honour into my family."

Will Ali-Aditi get a call from One Day makers?

Less than a week remains for the release of Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer London Paris New York and it seems that there may be a controversy brewing round the corner. It has turned out that the promos have now caught the attention of regulars with Hollywood romcoms who are quick to point out similarities with Anne Hathaway starrer One Day.

"Similarities are way too in your face to be ignored. One Day was about a woman who meets her 'good friend' one day every year. Obviously they fall in love. Now London Paris New York has the ditto plot where Ali and Aditi see each other in these three cities every year for one day", a hardcore movie buff calls to inform.

Manoj Bajpayee signs Shootout At Wadala

Will he, won't he? For months now producer-director Sanjay Gupta and actor Manoj Bajpayee have been at loggerheads over Bajpai's fee for and inclusion in Gupta's new film Shootout At Wadala.

The standoff had apparently ruined the dosti between the two former best-friends, with both parties sticking to their points of view regarding Manoj's fee.

The stalemate between the two finally culminated in a compromise last week where Gupta, impatient to get his full cast in place, pointblank asked his buddy-actor if he's doing the film.
